SAN ANTONIO, TX - Northwest Vista College - Alamo Colleges received the No. 3 slot on Intelligent.com's Best Community Colleges in Texas of 2024. This is significant because students have 118 community colleges in Texas to choose from and now Northwest Vista College (NVC) is at the top of that list.
Intelligent.com's institutional rankings are set apart from other conventional ratings and are deemed the benchmark of academic evaluations for online and hybrid programs. An exclusive methodology is used to rank each institution on a scale from 0 to 100 across six categories. Evaluations are based on quantitative measures such as academic quality, graduation rate, cost and return on investment, and student resources.
"Northwest Vista's top ranking is a testament to the dedicated work faculty and staff pour into our students to make sure they have the tools and resources to not just go to college but thrive," said NVC President Dr. Amy Bosley. "Our NVC Student Advocacy & Resource Center has played a critical role in helping students fulfill their basic needs to take off some of the pressures of life while attending college."
Intelligent.com said this about NVC: "With degree programs, certificates, and transfer prep, this school has an option for everyone, and they’ve built an enviable foundation of support for their students. NVC was nominated for the $1 million Aspen Prize, recognizing the school’s track record of supporting excellent student outcomes.”
With a score of 98.45, NVC's other rankings include No. 2 on Career Karma, No. 2 on Stacker, No. 4 on Best Colleges, No. 10 on Niche and No. 14 on Best Value Schools.
